• ORGANIZER

The international competition LIVORNO STREET PHOTO AWARDS is organized by Livorno Photo Meeting, hereafter called organizer.

• WHO CAN ENTER?

Participation is open to anyone 18 years of age or older at the time of the competition.The contest is open to photographers of all levels of experience, from enthusiasts and beginners to professionals.

• SUBMISSION DEADLINES

Submission open:  01 July 2023
Registration and submission deadline:  17 September 2023 at midnight (GMT+1, Central European Winter Time)
Winners announcement:  23 October 2023
Final exhibition: from 10 November 2023, during Livorno Photo Meeting

•  ENTRIES REQUIREMENTS

You can submit up to 3 photographs. To enter, visit the xxxxx and complete the registration. The entry fee is 15 € (payments carried out through xxxxx), regardless of the number of the submitted images.

The submitted photographs must have been taken after 1st November 2022.

The name of each file must consist of the photographer’s first and last name, followed by a number. You do this as follows: FirstName_Surname_Numbering.jpg. Photos that do not comply with this will automatically be excluded from the contest.

The images should be 1900 pixels on the longest side and the resolution 72 DPI. The file size of each photo should not exceed 2MB, the file format must be jpeg/jpg.

Only adjustments possible to apply in the darkroom, such as cropping and/or minor burning, dodging, contrast and conversion to black and white, are permitted. Any other changes to the original photograph, especially alteration or manipulation of the images will not be accepted. HDR images, watermarked images, artwork, illustrations, computer-generated or computer-edited photographs will not be accepted. Removal of dust on the sensor is permitted.

Each photo submitted must contain the complete, unaltered EXIF data. The organizer has the right to require the finalists and winner to send a RAW file for review in order to resolve any doubts. If the above-mentioned RAW files are not provided, the finalists and winner will be disqualified. 

Photos may be taken anywhere in the world.

All images submitted must conform to the concept of street photography: i.e. spontaneous photographs in random locations in public spaces, both indoors and outdoors (city, street, beach, train, park, restaurant, …).

Staged photos will not be accepted.

Both black and white and color photos are accepted.

• SELECTION PROCEDURE AND JUDGING

The selection of the winner will take place in two stages.
The images will be judged blind. This means that the judges of each stage view the images without the name or details of the photographer.

In the first round the jury is responsible for an initial first selection.

All photographs submitted are eligible to participate in the finalist exhibition as long as they meet all the conditions in these guidelines.

All finalists will be part of the Livorno Photo Meeting ’23 exhibition and on social media related to the competition.
The organizer will contact the finalists for a high-resolution jpeg file of the selected photograph(s). These files must be delivered to the organizer within 48 hours of receiving the message from the organizer. If the photographer fails to do so, the entry may be dropped as a finalist.
Finalists are also asked to share the year and location in which the selected photo(s) were taken with the organizer.
All costs associated with the selection and exhibition of finalists will be covered by the organizer.

The winner will be announced during the festival, on 11 November 2023.
